OK then I'll put it another way. During the Battle of Britain, (1940) the Spitfire fighter (you do know what a Spitfire is, don't you!) was powered by a Rolls royce Merlin engine. A V12 of 27 litres, and producing 1012 bhp. This thing is making the same power as FOUR Spitfires, or one Spitfire per cylinder!!!
I do know what a Spitfire was and when the Battle of Britain take place (it was the same year that women were allowed to join the Observer Corps and the same year that they gain the Royal warrant for their work during the Battle of Britain, am I boring you yet?) and that Spitefire's had Merlin engines. They sound awsome. Thank you for explaining how f**king quick that must be.
