Went down to Southend today to pick up my Rootlieb hood from Homegrown Hot Rods. Had a look around Jon's workshop and took a look at the Deuce being built for Jaguar's chief designer.
Chassis is being built.....no engine but wouldn't be surprised if it will be a Jag/ Daimler Hemi V8. The body is..............Dearborn, brand spanking new, steel Deuce Coupe from the USA. Yes they are being built in steel now using the original 1932 jigs.
I've already fitted the 4 piece hood and will post a piccy when painted.
Sorry Sniper. If it's any consolation the whole clan came with me in the Escort. The hood was flat packed but had to sit in the back seat with the girls. Wouldn't have got your hood in as well.
Satin black bonnets are coming back in. Seem to be popular on American import modifieds so it wont be long before it's done over here too.

But you are going to sell the Rapier, painting it cream the orginal would make it easier to sell, ie appeal to the classic car market as well as the mod car market.
