Had a phonecall from a good friend I have not seen since primary school today. That's 34 years ago!!
T'was like those years dont exsist. He wont tell his daughters that we used to go around London with no adults when we were 8 years old.
I cycled from my house in Cricklewood to Heathrow and back at that age too. Even remember knocking on someones door and asking for a glass of water!!....frightening.
Then there was doing bob a jod as a cub scout. Going into strangers homes and cleaning shoes etc. Have things changed that much?
Then there was the war......oh dear I'm having another senior moment.
Or catch up with ur old class mates that you haven't seen in yrs. I went to school in Felixstowe and it really isn't all that big round here but have lost touch with most of my school mates, and most of them from the midlands so i signed up

When I was at work, I used to find that all those that bullied and picked on me were the ones that would be as nice pie and oh so friendly. Strange, they hated me at school and suddenly they wanted to be my friend. Maybe they thought I'd give them discount on their CD's or something. NO CHANCE!
Yeah i found that when i worked in a nightclub ............. i didn't really have any bullies as such at school (and no i wasn't a bully) but everyone had their groups and all the girls who were in the 'i love me who do u love' group started saying hi & trying to find out what u've been doing ...... it's only because they like to think they have grown up, truth is they don't really have anyone else to talk to and they think you're interested .........

How does this site work? Is it only school mates or can you find old forces mates? I always said the best time of my life wasn't my school days, but the first couple of years when I joined the RAF, at my training camp. There's a bond between service friends that goes beyond normal friendship, that only another ex-serviceman can really understand. Would love to look up some of me old muckers from the mob!
Best bet is just to sign up (for free) and see what you can find ....... if there's no one you know you don't have to pay the £5 to contact them securely (saves them giving out their E-mail addy to people they don't want to hear from) for half hour its better to have a butchers than sit there thinking about it
