Pocket rockets ???????? Yeah,great fun,just said goodbye to me XR2,no power steering so was a bit of wrestle coming off roundabouts on full throttle but great fun non the less.It went on Thursday night to its new home so there`s a lad in S o S with a big grin on his boat.


To-days technology means you can get a lot out of a 4 pot.GMs head of Drag Racing is getting 1000 bhp out of Chevy Cavalier 2.0 engines as part of an exercise to bring dragin` back  down to grass roots costs which is were "Rodding " started.What his team developed on the engine is being used worldwide on these engines.I read this in a car industry only magazine and was part of an in depth interview on all types of racing


The boys Vette is a 1.3 4 pot,we`ve started breaking n storing another but are after the engine & box first to do a skim,polish n port, re-bore & banana 4 branch.If  that doesn`t make it kick off a bit better we`ll try out a 1.9 manta or have a go with moving an Astra lump the right way round

We all have diff views and the world wud be boring if we all like the same stuff i do like hot rod coz i like the fact that most ppl stick v8 in them and i cnt get enough off the sound they make as they are awsome and if i cud get a v8 in my vectra with out to much money being spent i wud.  I have npo promlem with u lot posting and iam glad u r on this site as u had diffrents points of view etc and hope u stick with the ite and help it grow in to bigger and better things.

If yur talking bout the astra 2ltr Redtop to move round y dont u go for the Carlton 2ltr which is the same engine but is allready set up for rwd.

Crickey,you`re right,hadn`t thought about Carltons even though I`ve had 3,the last was a year old 2.2.   I`d been thinking about using an Astra cos the old GTi s are dirt cheap to get for breaking.          Nice one,Ta for that.
