False Advertising

Don`t it just piss you off.

Retailers sticking their snouts into other established business`s by discounting & then thru a total lack of subject knowledge fail to deliver the message in the advert.

I`m ranting about supermarkets & others trying to sell car insurance. The ads say "Save £280 with us" or "we can save you 20%" etc.

Well,in my experence I don`t believe they can,not when the call centre staff know nothing about cars,in fact it`s not only insurance the big chains have problems with.Try asking Argos staff about the products they sell.Perhaps the problem is that the consumer will readily buy from a picture,e.g a Hi Fi set without hearing it first.A wide screen TV from the shelf of a store thats sells Baked Beans & Bog Rolls.

Is it me ?

I've cut an ad out of the paper that say's "We gaurantee to beat any quote."  Righto, I thought, soon as the Zody's back up and running, you WILL beat any quote, regardless.  Any bullsh*t about "Oh we don't cover old/modified cars"  and it'll be "I'm suing you for false advertising then, cos there's no exclusions in the small print!"

Oh shit, here we again,I`m gonna run for PM,then we can get outta this EU shite, use that big tunnel thru to France as a land fill site & tax the hell outta foreign companys operating here.

Does anybody know what benefit there is to a Brit in the UK belonging to the EU ?if so,please explain cos I must be a bit slow,I can`t see any at all.

This sounds a heavy for some of the peeps on here!

We were quoted something like £300 for the Rapier by CIS and that was with Bro-in-laws staff discount, Sniper tried one of the classic car insurance companies and got it for half that price.

Absolutly none whatsoever mate, it's the biggest f***in rip-off ever.  It's purely for benefitting business, and an excuse for putting up taxes and prices.  Vote UKIP next election and get us the hell out of it.  SERIOUSLY.  (Ooh, I can feel the sap rising again!)

The Camaro because it is moddified costs £180.00 PA fully com.Me mates Galaxie comes in at £85 fully com plus £10 per weekend when he does weddings & the like with it.The lads vette with 3 of us on is a tad over £500,which is pretty near legal extortion even though he is 17 & only just passed his test.

That's still a lot less than some of them are paying for insurance on here.  More reasons to ditch the modern hot hatches and go for a rod.  Plus in 10 years time a rod will still look cool, where as will a tarted up hot hatch?  Hate mail to the usuall address.
