So, has anyone gone out bought a copy of Band Aid 20, " Do they know it's Christmas"?
Has anyone got a copy of the orginal single or even the second one that they did?
I've got the first one at my mum's, as we don't have a turntable and she has I didn't see the point of bringing it with me when I left home. That's a point, she's still my orginal Grease soundtrack LP, gotta get that one off her! And I think my Muppets soundtrack is there as well. Perhapes I will reclaim them from her, I might find some dogdy 7" singles as well......
You say that but most of the Dance tunes and that nowadays are old songs re-hashed in one way or another whether it be Sampled or the words with a different background track

it`s good the single is raising money, but it appears that the original is getting more airplay. Is it a sign of to-days commercial acts not having creative potential ?Have this lot learned their craft & built a fan base by gigging in pub, clubs & Uni`s ?I think perhaps not, perhaps that this is why there so many covers around, some of which have been totally ruined by mumbli` muppetts.
The single has 3 tracks, first is this new version next is the 1984 one with Paul Young, The Quo etc and finally is a version played live at the 1985 Live Aid.
Last week VH1 were playing all 3 Band Aid singles (the original, Band Aid II and Band Aid 20) back-to-back several times.
