The other morning i started my car and the engine was revving like a right fecker, started driving and realised my brake pedal was as stiff as a bloke with a nude model!!! Managed to get it into one of the drivers yards on the dock (well up his embankment) as this was the only was the fecker would stop without me putting my foot through the floor!!! Bear in mind i'd just finished a 12hr night shift i phoned the RAC and told them everything that was wrong and that i had just finished a night shift i was on my own it was freezing cold etc!! 75 minutes the woman on the end of the phone told me!! 75 minutes i said your joking have you been outside in this weather she told me to start the engone and keep it running!! Ok yeah i mean my car is sounding like someone is revving the b*llocks off it!! Not knowing what was wrong i'm thinking this might damage the engine so this woman is full of bright ideas huh?!?! So sure enough 75minutes later some bloke turned up and told me my servo pipe had come out the manifold, ok cool something that ain't gonna kill the engine so he tries to put it back in and snaps the clip to hold it in the manifold!!! Gee Thanks!!! Upshot is he did a temp repair and i had to take it to get fixed later that day!! Next year i think i might try the AA or if anyone knows any better let me know!!

Gotta agree, had to use the AA once when I was down portsmouth 2 just over a year ago - quick to reach me and sorted me also

i use AA they know where i am even when i dont, they have a saterlite that can knows where you are if you call from a mobile. i never had 2 wait more than an hour either

Perhapes you should write to the RAC, because if you don't they won't know that there was a problem and then won't be able to take action against this happening again. Soemthing we alsways used to say when I was in retail and people had a problem, if you don't tell us, then it don't get sorted.
