Seen it all tonight, a guy on a pushbike had these little blue Chav lights on his handle bars!!! Perhaps I ought to get some for my little'uns buggy?? And neons underneith..... Oh the possibilities.
Might put some neons under my Rod They have to be Purple as I reckon that looks best with a Satin Black body.
Already have Red cruising lights as I had them in the 70's. Are red lights viewed from behind under the car illegal? Never ever got stopped for it in the 70's.
Why I do this?....
1. I like making waves. This will make waves in the hot rod community.
2. I like em!!
3. The lights are seperatly switched so I can use em or not depending on my mood.
It`s Gotta happen,Long shackles in chrome, amber running lights in the front, sandblasted glass.flip flop, pearl ,metal flake, red back axle C/W chrome hub cap on the diff.Chrome chain steering wheel, and best of all a deep buttoned dralon interior.Must be a winner at the Nats.I think I`ll rush off & tell Flamer
He would be tonight, it's bl**dy freezing. We went to our Humber Club meet at lunch time and stood around chatting and giggling like I do and have just managed to warm up. So Flamer would be really cool tonught.
I've fitted purps under the rod and inside. So I stick my tongue out to ya.
Also got red fogs over axle ala 70's. So I stick my bum out to ya.
Also got on off switches if too many hard rodders about
Heres a piccy. Not very good but proof!!
Some of you seen it already. All Owen said was" Should have got multi coloured ones like his Capri" I dont think I could compoete with that. Different colours, remote control, and sub woofer
The purple lights look really cool!! Little Sniper will love it when he sees it, he thought Owens light's were good. I still think we ought to put them on the Super Snipe.
its not illegal to have lighting- providing you cant see the bulbs- BUT if there is an accident and someone says they got distracted by them ur buggared basically!! If you are on a private site you can have them whever flashing (if you want) - however this does NOT include all places as car parks can be considered as part of the public road
Yes neons are a grey area. You cant see my lamps directly as they are tucked up under the running boards and the interior one has a fabric flap in front of it so you can only see reflected light.
Really only fitted them for weekend shows where I cruise the site after dark and park up with the other club cars.
If they are on when on the public roads then it's because I forgot to switch 'em off
Just in case other rodders are getting worried about me . The sub cant be heard even at 90% volume outside with the engine running. Even at idle the V8 out does the 400w sub (ok the amp is only 190W) Inside though I can break my back with thumping bass.
Switch the engine off and it's a different story....but the amp is switched off before then anyway.
