Im really really not happy in my job last week i was late coz a lorry toppled over at a roundabout i phoned in it was fine this morning i was stuck in traffic i got in at 9:04 we have 2 clock in and out so they new i was 4 mins late this lady called Phoebe-ann started having a rite go at me and swearing which im sure ppl aint aloud 2 do 2 u at work... she basicly sed shes withdrawing my pay reveiw (which i was promised when id been here a year ive now been here a year and 6 weeks) becoz if she puts it in Mr Wilsons the big boss man will sack me coz of my lateness.... im so fed up....
Do what i done, I got so ****ed off with the place where i worked, the boss was a right 2 face pile of crap. I found a new job which is 5 mins away from my house and left it till one day when he had a go at me. I was outside getting some air and he comes out and says "what you doing?" so i say "im taking an air break, other people can take fag breaks so why cant i get some air?" he says "are there no calls outstanding?" (cos i work on a helpdesk) and i jsut said i couldnt give a **** i quit. You get a certain amount of satisifcation i mean, i take it you do a good job and if there are like my former employers there were really shocked when i handed my notice in. The thing you gotta remember is that 99% of the time there is always something in a job which annoys you or someone who treats you like crap. Unfortunatly unless you have the perfect job its something ur gonna have to deal with. On the other hand if you have had enough, look for a new job and hand ur notice in when you get accepted at ur new job.
Hey Bubble, this woman has no right to withdraw your pay review!!! Nor has she the right to swear and have a go at you, this is all classed as Bullying within the workplace, if you wanted to be really snidy you could threaten her with the fact that what she's doing is against any working laws and that she could in effect have a lot of problems on her plate! At the end of the day people like her obviously have no authority so they take things out on people that seem like an easy target! She is not your boss, all your boss will do is ask for an explanation to why you were late then once you explain it he will just tell you to leave a little earlier in the mornings. If you get held up by accidents it's not your fault!!
Any company you work for unless your contract says otherwise has to give you the 3 strike system! Two verbal warning and a written warning, some go as far as to give you a disciplinery (or however you spell it)
