Kate how come it was £120 for a cam belt? they are only £15 for belt and tenshioner kit! and 1 and half hours labour max. they are a safe engine so if the belt brakes no damage is done to the valves or piston.

i think something else broke- it just conked out and that was one of a few prbs

yeah it was completely buggared- just stopped as i turned a corner on a road!!

cambelt snaping would do that, thing is a lot of garages say if belt brakes they have to check for bent valves and stuff but theres no need with punto 8v engines they are a safe engine
