Only local site I tend to use is East of England, & thats not very often! Some of you may know/recognise me from other forums, doubt it though - I live in Sudbury too. Drive the cabriolet in my signature, not much done to it, but its ok, bit gutless though! Don't really do much 'cruising' round town in it these days. Been into cars from a really early age, remember the local 'modifiers' driving down the hill on a Saturday when I was a kid and from then s'standard' car would never be good enough! First learnt to drive just before I turned 15 (on private roads of course! ;)) have modified my previous 3 cars, try to do as much of it myself. Must've got online around '97 wasn't much on there at the time and don't think we really knew what we were doing! The first car site I came across was www.rs-turbo.co.uk and been friends with the creator ever since (unfortunately the car and site long gone now). All we did then was cruise round various towns and go to Southend (must've been going there for around 8 years now, was in a documentary about it on TV to, oh joy :-/ lol) and Ford Fair. In 1999 www.cruise-board.co.uk set up (and still going strong!) the first of its kind promoting cruises & bringing like minded enthusiasts together, hundreds of cruise and cars sites about now and made lots of friends through them over the years. Joined the Escort Cabriolet Club in 2000 and started taking the cab to the shows, started going to lots of cruises then too, covered miles! Have dropped out of the cruise scene in the last couple of years, but always be into cars, obession more than a hobby! lol
Apart from my cab, we got 4x4 sapphire cosworth and grey F reg BMW 325i Sport for a fun car (RWD is the way to go!)
Enough of my life story!
Don't know any of the people in Sudbury now, I'm a bit older than most of them! Nice to see a more local site though.

hello, u r famous aint ya, seen u on the tv on anglia about the nuisence of boy racers, what a load of bollox it was, made us all look like criminals, seen u about a few times and at the unofficial sudbury cruise in focus car park.
apart from the coppers telling me and my mates from world of ice 2 turn our stereos down, it was prity poor.
I did have a copper giving me grief and the cheek of him saying "cant do nuffin about your number plate now or when its on your drive..... I will get u son" fcuking idiot.

Thought it was so long ago and everyone here would be too young to remember the documentary, I only did it to try to show that cruising/car enthusiasts aren’t criminals, but as usual it all got twisted and edited and didn’t show us in a good light, as usual.
That gathering at Focus was ages ago! Took the cossie so surprised anyone would recognise me not that anyone would these days anyway - ok it was a bit ****e but nice to see something going on in Sudbury for a change, didn’t bother with the one at KFC carpark, just wouldn’t have worked, all the places in Sudbury are too residential and small.
Bit stupid thing of the copper to say, all had to do was wait for you to drive out of the car park!

I organised the 1st cruise up Focus may 2002 but ended up getting a telling off from the police & the fact that there was load of home owners moaning so i decided not 2 do n e more. I pop through the cruise at KFC there was an Astra GTE done up and that was it so decided to go play some where else he he.
