This is what we drive:

Have to say we don't go out much, not with 2 small kiddies. But we do go to several of the shows locally classic car, hot rod and a few moddifid ones, basically what ever takes our fancy.

Hay OLD BIRD, i have respect for the classic Hot Rods, but i must admit i have too much Nitrous Oxide in my vains! Im more of a High Revving, Turbo Boosting kind of guy but my dad would love your car, he believes that "style never goes out of fashion"!! or something like that!!!???

Wooleyman, loving your ride mate, i used to have a 53 reg Astra GSI Turbo, Vauxhalls have come along way in the last 4 -5 years.

Iam loveing the turbo the chap who owned it b4 has done work 2 it just not sure what has he never told me when he sold the car to me. I like the fto i did look at them after i smashed me bmw up but went for the astra as i wanted a turbo.

Anyway, what makes you young spuds think you invented nitrous oxide?!! Us hotrodders have been using it for years! In fact, (Boring history lesson coming up!) most of what we know about boosting performance, supercharging, turbocharging, nitrous etc, was developed during the second world war for use on aircraft. Nitrous, for instance, was developed by the Germans for use on their Me109 and Fw190 fighters to boost high altitude performance, so they could reach the high-flying American bombers. These days, if your car isn't quick enough you loose face. Back then if your plane wasn't quick enough you crashed and burned! How's that for an incentive to develop go-faster goodies?!

Dont get me wrong Vee8, i know that we owe Nitrous to the "more knowledgable" people such as yourself!!!! But you must admit that Nitrous has become more commercial since films like the fast and the furious (2001).
