The mag used to be good, Sniper started getting it after Street Machine went all Tits & arse. HE stopped getting MAx Power when it got all burn outs and that a couple of years ago. He now get Custard Cart instead, more his cup of tea!!!
Theres much being spoken on the subject of max on uk hotrods right now.
It's the mag that split the union. I mean everyone into modding cars bought Custom Car or Hot Car or Street Machine or Hot Rod and Custom UK. Then Max P came on the scene and year One in car modding was when Front Wheel drive was introduced. Completely wiped the history of modding and made modding cars a fashion accessory rather than a hobby. Lads porn and yob mag more like. Even encouraged raiding hot rod cruises and thrashing em. Encouraged general trouble making and anti social behaviour. So now we have the police come down hard on our scene and another excuse for Europe to ban it.
You can bet the publishers of this mag are raking it in though while the bubble bursts...do you think they care about the scene...bollocks. Making loadsa money while a young generation worships the idol like sheep to the slaughter.
I sound real serious sometimes dont I. I scare myself. Forgive me Sister Old Bird
You are more than forgiven for that posting and will be made High priest.
That's exactly why Sniper stopped buying Max Power, I seem to remember having to buy either Street Machine, one of the VW mags or MP when I was at work. It got to the stage where the lads couldn't wait for me to buy Max Power and one used to tell to get it and tell Sniper that I couldn't get the other ones.
Have to say that Custard Cart goes through stages of being a bit of a girlie mag, which makes life a bit difficult when Little Sniper wants to have a look and we don't want him to.
Don't beat around the bush Deuce, say what you think! Seriously I couldn't agree more. As for Custom Car, I have no objection to the occasional scantily clad lady if it attracts more of the younger generation to our scene.

Can you forgive me for being an over protective mother??
Couldn't agree more, what's going to when all you old man fall off your perches?? Will any of you garyboys or dare I say it Chav's be prepared to take over where the likes of Deuce, Chevy, VeeMan and my other half have left off. Don't get me started on preserving our motoring heritage.
By the way, Sniper was chatting to one of the old guys at the Museum today, who is 75. He was telling Sniper that after the war he worked many a hot rod, doing up side valve engines to improve speed etc and is keen to visit the Nats next year. Lovely old guy, great laugh and loves the ladies. Oh yeah a drop of Uncle Teds dust settles after a session of restoration. Bless him.
I went to the show in london and it was not the best event I have been to, the £30 price on the ticket was a hell of a rip off as it was suposed to be an access all areas ticket for that price but that was a lie....
I took just over 300 photo's at the event and must say that 260+ are of the models there as most of that cars I have seen at other shows, the only car I hadn't really seen was DJ Tim Westwoods 1966 Chevy Impala that sadly I never got a good photo of.
Tim Westwood's Chevy!! Yum yum. Now that tells you what s Cooooool. You wouldn't see him driving around in a tarted up shopping trolley (Sniper's words not mine!!) or Flamers Princess or his Allergo or his Maxi.
Jools Holland is rather partial to Humbers by the way, now he is a cool cat. (Clue for Cat there if she's reading this!)

And your point is my dear????
He started with a cool car and added a few mod cons. Each to our own.
Yeah subs and dvd's are ok in lowriders. They are the crossover cars in our scene. Respect from the oldskool and newskool. Loads on rap or r and b videos.
