It is rumoured after seeing a trade magazine that as from 01 04 05 there will be in force new legislation which dictates that unless originally fitted by the vehicle manufacturer all exhaust systems must comply to the new directive in relation to size.
To ensure complete compliance the Police Forces in England,Scotland & Wales (Ireland to be confirmed)Traffic wardens plus some bus drivers will be issued with measuring devices to ensure that all exhaust pipes are less than 27mm in dia.Oval pipe will be completely banned.
An EU representative confirmed that this directive is being rushed thru before the mating season of small mammals starts.Apparently these small mammals have been found nesting in expansion boxes all over the EU.
Pre 1989 cars are exempt from this new legislation,apparently the replacement custom exhaust pipe suppliers could be looking for new business before the end of February.
Shdnt that be in the joke section mate coz its sounds a load of bollox and there no way iam taking my zorst off my car just because animal like sleeping in it.
