DON'T get me started on the European dis-union It is the most MASSIVE political con ever concieved There is NOTHING in it for us mere mortals but confusion and suffering I am British, not European, and I make no secret of the fact I voted UKIP at the last elections. AAARGHH, I'm boiling up!!

Your fooling yourself, love. If President Blair has his way, we'll all be slaves to the alter of European comercialism. Why should I pay tax, to give a subsidy to a Lithuanian goatfarmer?
There is no way we should be part of Europe. The thought of it makes me scared for the future.
One fact close to my heart is that the UK (I mean proper British) car manufacturing scene is now a cottage industry. No not like silk weaving ...well maybe it is Seems the only cars being built by Brits are kit cars, hot rods, dragsters, TVR (which started as a kit car)....cant think of another marque that hasn't been put under the umbrella of an international company.
Some of the Europeans cant even change the style of wheels on their cars. Some are not allowed to drive their customs after dark and then only to and from a show. So going into Europe...they'll take away our toys cos they dont like us having fun!!

I know, I know. I've been watch re-runs of last night of the Proms and Rule Britiannia keeps coming up into my head, can think of worse songs and better ones mind you!

Lets remember that the whole point of the proposed European (Un)constitution is closer harmonisation across all countries. That means what is law in one country will become law in all countries. Now, do you think that means the rest of europe will adopt our, comparitivly, free and easy rules on car modifying? Or will Presedent Blair opt to sink to the majority rule, and just outlaw modified vehicles at a stroke? This will affect EVERYONE on this site. Not just hotrodders, EVERYONE. No wheel changes, no chipping turbo computers, no bodykits, NOTHING. It's already the law in many countries, and, don't forget, El Presedente has already signed this 'kin rag on our behalf. It just takes the referendum to ratify it. And I for one am not above believing the vote for this can be rigged. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Sorry, rant over.
Didn't the doctors say you mustn't get too wind up about things Vee-man?Try have a herbal tea to calm down with, oh sorry the EEC or whatever they call themselves these days have banned them too or are just about to
I read something today in an Industrial Automotive Interior design trade magazine regarding a possible new EU directive which could come into force next spring regarding non stock parts on post1990 cars.
I`m away on business for the next three days so should have mor to post on this maybe Friday

Problem with that one Woolley, I don't have a car as I don't drive. Sniper owns the 4 cars, well not true he owns 3.5 of our cars, my mum owns the other half of the Hawk. He he he.
