Forget the AA & RAC.I Use the independant guys that both the AA & Rac use when their too busy.They`re from the local Garage & so have better local knowledge available to them.Used them twice 2years back & on each time they were with me in 15-20 minutes.Last year the V plate mondeo broke its bottom hose when the wife was driving.The lads trailored the car back to Mersea within the hour.Bloody Brilliant.
No not really,I`ve gone for full cover on me & the wife which means that we are covered in any car that we drive for side of road breakdown,home start & transport for the car & us to our final destination at home or where ever,All in £113.and that includes the Camaro
There are lower covers such as roadside only,but, I have to say that with modern cars you cannot always fix then as easily as a Pre 82 which would mean leaving the car to collect later (Vandal attack) or the breakdown tows it to a local garage near to the breakdown.I think overall it is better to get home with the car.
I've just found out that Tesco's do breakdown cover, in association with Green Flag. Seeing as how their insurance is the cheapest anywhere, by a LOT, it might be worth getting a quote from them.
