Read the press release on the new Chevy rang in the UK.They reckon that there is an 84% brand awareness of the Chevroltet name by the general public.
Obvoiusly the Car Insurance company I spoke too yesterday isn`t aware of Chevrolet !
Like a fool I responded to a mail shot.Save 47% it said on your car insurance,well I`m always one for a deal so I dialled the 0800 # and got the recorded message " A SPECIALIST WILL BE WITH YOU SOON " Great thought I,at last a real specialist to help me,a leading figure in their field,someone who has decided to become a specialist!!!!
After several recorded messages later a nice young specialist answered the phone,and guess what ? I had to spell out the word CHEVROLET."never heard of one those" said the specialist"Is it imported"?"er yes"."Well in that case we can`t insure it as we don`t insure imported cars".
So,what about Saab,Volvo,Renault and all the Jap crap ? Oh,those we insure because they`re made to UK spec. But you won`t insure Chevrolet ? NO,
So there`s the answer then from an insurance specialist,you can`t get insurance on a chevy from them.
