What will you replace it with when the time comes?  Don't worry just being nosey and making polite conversation.

Scooby's not bad, saw a red one this morning during the school run.  Not keen on the blue ones now, too many about.  Look too bad in silver, but I'm sold (if we had to have one that is) one the red.  For what my opinion is worth.

Go for the cossie, much better than that old jap crap! ;) Though cosworth are just as expensive as a cheap scooby these days, and older, I think the cossie got more appeal to it though - still if someone was offering an Evo... still be hard pushed to chose between the too! Maybe its the blue blood running through my veins!

Went to Safety Devices factory a couple of months ago on a club tour. They make roll cages, harnesses etc. They were working on a Toyota...I think...anyway it was Jap. There was no top coat of paint in the engine bay. It was explained that the Jap's cant have a car thats more than 4 years old. So they build them to last reliably for 4 years and cant see the need for details such as paint in the engine bay

How true this is I dont know. But it explains the huge export of used Japs.

Off subject a bit. We turned up at Safety Devices in Hot Rods and a group of Yanks from Milldenhall turned up in a hot Mini Apparently Mini's are very popular across the pond and they ship em over.

Back on the subject. I've always been a Ford man. So, Ford Ford Ford

Your right Deuce, they have really tough MOT's (or whatever their equivalent is) at about 3 or 4 years old and can cost a bomb so they generally buy a new car instead!

They have to have basicly change most of the parts on the car to do with emission and stuffs so its better to sell to the UK and get a new car.
