Sudbury just doesn't have the venue to hold a cruise, we are so in the middle of nowhere most people can't be bothered to come all the way up (apart from locals/East Anglians of course) even Bury hasn't really got the venue to hold a cruise, I don't know it that well but places like the cattle market really are impossible

I haven't been to a cruise in the south for donkeys! Why? Cos there all ****!

Before you all go slaggin me, yes I do know what I'm on about! Prob been "cruising" before a lot of you even had a licence!

I've organsied many, back in the day when cruising was good. Now there are too many Burberry wearing twats, and nazi police.

Legal isn't the way forward, cos it will NEVER be like a cruise. I did organise an "event" a few years ago at Foxhall Stadium, but it certainly wasn't a cruise, somehwere for modified car enthusiasts to gather!

It's all about up North! Thats the only place where "cruising" is still good! Just gutted I can't make Mids 10 tonight!

there are certainly a lot of elements that make a cruise good which the legal ones arent allowed to support!

Blimey,You two must be as old as me!My first proper cruise was Kings Rd Chelsea,Christmas day 1974,there were twenty of us and from then it just went berserk all over the country until now.One time in Southend the Police blocked off two roundabouts with all the cars in between and had the ministry go over em.

The longest cruise has got to be the one that Deuce did a couple of years ago, along with others he went on one all the way up to the top of Scotland and the only ice was what you kept yer beer in

Hi,

I hear there`s a good cruise in Guilford which I will go to one day,bit far from here.I`ll probaly go during the Thorney Island weekend cruise on the south coast.Anyway,Apparently the police look after this one so only the good cars are allowed in therefore keeping the chavs out

Yep, I used to go to Chelsea from 1977 to the early 80's. Kings Road full of people all the way along watching the cruise. It truley was a great atmosphere. Things started changing when we had to park up in Batersea Park.

That run to the hills in the Isle of Skye is another one to remember forever. Ipswich to Glasgow in one day in a Hot Rod. Next day reached our hotel on the tip of the Isle. The cruise was a 100 mile trip around Skye and we were expected. It seemed like everyone was out to wave at us. On the cruise we parked up in town for a show and shine where buckets of money were made for the RNLI. Cruising with nothing but Rods, customs and Yanks in front and behind....cant wait for 2005 run.

I might go on that,Mines a 5.7 3speed auto but weighs a bit more than yours.Would I be correct in thinking the fuel cost would be about £250.00 ?

Perhaps we could get some of the cruise crazy lot on here to come as well.they could get all the other cruise hatches from round the UK!!!!!!!Now that would be good,!!!!!!If they could make it?It would certainly sort out the Chavs

All East Anglia could meet with the South East,South & South West at say the services near Northampton & then on up to say Telford for the Midlands lot.Next stop just after the M62 for the Liverpool & Manchester lot who will have the Yorkshire mob with them having come over the hills.

And then straight up.Book in to the Hotels,Beer,do the bit & back home

Guildford WAS good.

The Yank cars used to hold a meet sunday afternoons on the 1st Sunday of the month, used to spread into the evening with the more modern elements of "cruising" whihc in turn brought al l the pricks and chavs!

I'm sure Zoe will agree with me in that it is now ****! But it used to be a good crack on a sunday evening. It did get better for a period earlier in the year, but is had fallen apart now thanks to the unwanted.

Now Chelsea is another thing! Although I'm not as old as you Deuce, no offence though! I did use to be a regular, but when I started it was legal. Used to go with my mate and his brother who could drive. Some excellent times, went a few times once I was driving, and was at the last OFFICIAL cruise in Battersea Park.

The bikers are still down there on a friday night, although a couple of bad accidents ahs made things a bit thinner on the ground. There are still regular smaller meets up at "The bridge".
