thats a wicked site mate, love watching the ford pop's at rwyb at the pod, might try and make a meet so i can see sum of those cars

Your welcome to come to the meetings. Cant guarantee how many cars will be at the pub. Last week there was a lot. Depends on the weather with most people.


You'll find more cars at the Braintree cruise. But again that runs from Aprilish to Octoberish. The new Colchester cruise which only got up and running a couple of months ago will be back next spring.


Colchester cruise involves any hot rodders who know about it, just cruising around the town centre a few times along with the late modified cars.


Braintree is static and at Frankie and Bennies. Hot Rods, Customs, Old Rocker's Bikes etc. Late modifieds park up adjacent to Fand B's to watch.


There is also a club called Oldskool who meet in Sudbury, mainly 60's and 70's cars. I dont know where they meet though.

I love the cars. My old man keep say ing he want to do a Hot Rod fingy but he just cant find the time with my mum giveing him jobs to do at the weekends.  He use to do all that stuff wen he was a youngster. 


Didnt there use to be a car club that was held behind the Anchor in the 70s or 80s?

That sounds familiar. Most Hot Rodders including myself started young. Then comes the marriage, kids, mortgage and family life. Get through that and what goes round comes round....start modifying again. It's in your blood for life. Tell him to go for it. It doesn't have to be expensive.


Beware though!! 90% of us on the UK Hotrods group tied up getting back into customising with splitting from the other half.


I mean, if you had to choose between your wife or your Hot Rod what would you choose?


I dont know about the Anchor.
